Frothing Rant

Ok, well, it's been a while but that doesn't mean there's nothing new going on. I have had the fitness bug as of late, late December sometime. I've lost oodles of weight since then and feel motivated. Youngest mall walker in the area, pretty sure. Last night was evil. Last trip to the Doc revealed that I had lost yet another 9 lbs. So upon my 4th or 5th lap around the usual route - which includes L.S. Ayres - they are uncomfortable with that - but hey it adds length to my route - I decide to stop by the GNC and use their oh so impressive electronic scale. Payed .50 for them to tell me my fat ass had gained 4 lbs since going to see Dr. Quackers! This REALLY pissed me off and I did extra laps that incorporated all staircases in my path. After the mall closed I visited the local Wal-Mart and bought a $5 analog scale. Took it home, weighed again and lo and behold I had LOST 6 lbs. So as near as I can figure, GNC rigged the scale to weigh heavy in an effort to lure me into their store so I could purchase their overpriced legal speed. NO THANKS. I walk at least 4 nights a week at an hour a pop, and have cut my portion sizes in half. Doing fine on my own. My friends in Cleveland are gym crazy and go every day. I am very proud of their progress and wish them continued success. Weird car news. There are appx 200 miles left on my warranty and today on the way to work something most unexpected happened. As I was driving I thought I spied a water drop traveling sideways towards the bottom of the windshield. Upon closer inspection, and to my horror, I was actually watching a crack develop. The heater and defroster have always been super hot and I am afraid that this may have weakened the glass over time. Anyway, now I have to figure out if insurance will let me claim it, if it will raise my rates, and lastly if they can get someone to replace it with it leaking after. Anything else? Oh yes, gas prices. I stopped last night at the local K-Roger and got gas for $2.07 - without even using the Plus card. So I'm headed home and only a few blocks away I spot the local Shell sporting $2.39/gallon. I ask you WTF! How can the same gas be .32 higher - that close?! I want some crime scene tape so I can mark off their pumps. Gouging MUGGA FUGGAS! And lastly, without naming names, my thoughts are with 2 really good friends who are going through some tough times this month. One is in town with a relative who is not long for this world and the other - their fiancee- is home alone in Cleveland. Know that I care and call me or email if you need me. I love you guys!
