Face it - Bill Gates is a about a white Persian cat and a monocle away from being a Bond villain. -- Dennis Miller
last night was a double whammy. first, when i went to the post office - i was waited on by the least gruntled clerk - tom. he said "look, it's the whorehouse, book, sellin', guy." what the HELL does that MEAN?? then i went to the kroger on keystone. they under-charged me for an item, and i didn't realize it till i was 1/2 way home. so i went back. they acted like i had driven the friggin pope-a-mobile through the front of the store, and asked where they kept the kosher communion wafers. they flipped out when i actually wanted to pay more. ONE customer said it was nice to find someone honest. the others, employees, sounded the alarm - manager! security! coast guard! Saw this on the internet the other day. Just plain wrong. Warning, do not watch this, because once you do, you will be unable to ever scrub the images it presents from your mind, and it will forever change your destiny. Water won't taste as good. The air won't smell as sweet, and you will never, I mean NEVER, think of your dear, dear, grandmother the same way again. I'm really serious. Don't even look at it. I'm not normally in favor of Internet Censorship, but I feel that this is an exception, and should likely be scrubbed from the planet. I'm serious.

a very busy weekend indeed. i watched bhoot on friday night - couldn't get the subtitles to work, so it was all in hindi. odd though - at times complete sentences were in english. anyway, i didn't see anything that would make someone in the theater keel over from fright. saturday afternoon.. bored bored bored. saturday night i went to see HAIR at the civic theater. it was cleaned up a bit and some lyrics had been altered. i probably wouldn't have noticed if it weren't pointed out to me (i was 5 when it made its debut). i had a great "reliving my childhood" moment when they sang the "hair" song. at my sitter's house growing up, there were about 6 45rpm records that we could play. gypsies tramps and theives, hair, some evil song that dolly parton sang about a child, her puppy dog, a storm, and wanting candy. others included ghost stories involving women whose heads were held on with ribbons, and some magician that would turn his girlfriends into mice after they disobeyed him three times. when i got home i watched Teknolust, which i will review later. the opening scene made me say "eeewwwh" out loud. it was slightly less disturbing after that - but damned strange. then sunday afternoon, got my buzz on by mowing the lawn in circles. i started around the big pine tree and spriralled and rippled my way all the way to the back. wheeee! then i went to visit my brother and we snarfed at fazoli's. i was half joking when i said we should go downtown and see if the black expo was still going on. and off we went. as we were coming up madison, i said "hey, wanna start some sh*t?" there are grassy slopes on either side of madison on the way downtown. i told him that if we spray-painted kill whitey in big letters and spelled it wrong, that it would probably make the news. he was suitably horrified and declared that i was evil. me? 2 weird signs spotted this weekend - at the local kroger: Boca Red Box items have been moved to the regular freezer section. These are not Natural Food items. and sign along 65 -"Hyper thanks for your patience!" |
