interesting weekend. friday was full of corporate falderal, people posing, white people dancing with the aid of alcohol. i think FC described it best. "like a wreck, you just had to look." i was a bit tense that evening. not my scene if ya dig. it's not that i'm not a social butterfly, i'm just very picky about the flowers i hang around. i had fun i guess. free grub is always good. on the way home i nearly rear ended some old fart that insisted on stopping multiple times on keystone, on a friday, at 10:30. he finally jumped out of his car and yelled at me for not going around, which i couldn't do because of traffic. so, i did the next best thing. i flipped him off and yelled "merry f-ing christmas to you too mr. potter." then i went home and watched puphedz with a big bowl of garlic popcorn. it was great, though short. i'll get a review up on TWeeK before the day is out. then i watched bucket of blood. corman, unintentionally funny, but that's his shtick. saturday i did a bunch of nothing. then went to dinner with my brother and had a thoroughly unpleasant meal at a chinese place our mom had recommended. 8 o'clock on a saturday, and there was no food. a chinese restaurant without even so much as rice or egg rolls. the buffet was bare. i found some stuff to eat and really didn't feel like finding another place to eat in greenwood at that hour. mostly because everything that was open was near the mall. we watched one group of people come in, get disgusted, and left their plates at the buffet. the head hippo in the group declared that they would go someplace that was still open, and with that they left. they didn't offer us a discount or anything at the register. my brother was sure that i would say something. however, i gave this one the quiet brush off. i won't say anything, i just won't be back. last night we met for dinner again, this time at fazoli's. much better. then we saw red dragon. i was good for $1. i met an old coworker in the lobby. we both got burned by opticrap and com com. so we shared some bitterness for a while. |
