went to the walking gallery tour last night. very long walk to the bripple arts center and back. our parking was attended by a curious one armed youth whom i nearly ran over in the act of parking. we went to bazbeaux and had the garlic cheesy pesto bread. then a pizza with inhuman(e) amounts of garlic. very satisfying. which was good, because that would help take the edge off the badly fabricated "art" we were about to witness. some of it had charm, but little imagination. yes, i should get off my ass and contribute. i know this. maybe i could be someone's dark muse. my dreams later were quite strange, yet most of the memories are fleeting. i was doing a lot of flying again. hovering. at one point i was walking around just trying to be in places i wasn't supposed to be. maureen was with me and looking for something hot to eat. i wandered into what seemed to be a huge grocery store that had not yet opened. they had people stocking freezers and shelves and for the most part no one noticed me. in looking at the layout of the place and the lettering on the signs, i determined that this was a cub's and they were finally back in indiana. a manager eventually spotted me and asked that i leave. i played dumb and left. then i met up with maureen again, and she was intrigued by the new cub's and wanted us to go back there. we did, and i kept hovering just off the ground to freak out the stockers. a couple of times i floated far enough up that i could hide on top of the freezers - with a pretty decent vantage point. after we left there, we went to several other groceries. there was an oriental booth at one of them that had really cheap soup mixes and a plastic tube of flouresent yellow hot mustard sauce. maureen tried some and loved it. it and the soup were only a dollar so we got both. then everything skipped to me telling her about other dreams that i had had. in one i was wandering around on the old sets of tv shows and looking for hidden stories. there was dynasty, cheers, gunsmoke, and many others. then i was trying to help some woman over the phone. she wanted to print out some impossibly old documents on an apple II computer. it took me a while, but i figured it out and printed them on my end. i wanted to get them mailed to her, so i headed to the post office. the weather was rough and i was driving up from whiteland (my hometown) towards the airport. things had gotten icy and just south of greenwood i got caught in the middle of several accidents. there were some old ladies that had their car up on the median and i couldn't convince them that it was going to have to stay there until morning. they mumbled something about god's help and then vanished. then i ended up in a big warehouse where i was still telling maureen about strange dreams, and she was telling me i should blog about them. my truck had disappeared from the accident scene and was somewhere in the warehouse. it was supposed to be over by all the commodore hardware and software but i couldn't find it. apparently our IT guy - the spastic one - had hidden it. he said he remembered the truck because there was an antibiotic stick of deodorant on the front seat. there were other details and other dreams, but that's all i can put in words from the fragments that i remember. PG is back, in color even. ever have one of those dreams where you wake up wondering what in the hell "that" was about? the kind that makes you want to take a sharp wooden stick and gouge out your 3rd eye, only to leave little splinters in the socket. then it gets all red and puffy. to the uninitiated it looks like acne gone awry, and they're all too polite to mention the huge festering zit on your head. anyway, the new message boards are up at the kastle.... ok, freeky-deekies, the new twisted picks of the week are up. should i start another message board over on the site and see what comes out of the rotting woodwork? i don't ask for much, just a small cult following. sigh. adult swim was all repeats. oh well. went to penrod on saturday. the buses they used for shuttles were cute and cramped. must have gotten on the gradeschool model. the show itself was ok. there was a booth there labeled chinese paper cuts. move over water torture! maureen saw it and said ouchy. this cried out for a bad pun. chinese papercut: the ancient art of ow chi. later we joined intruder and went to the chinese buffet in castleton, then on to downtown comics. i scored an edward scissorhands figure for $5. worked on the site this weekend - added the movie search page. looking now for the new twisted picks of the week. should be up no later than tonight. found a cool present for you PG. |
