Frothing Rant

last night i was witness to a crappy movie as well. maybe i would have enjoyed it better for not the presence of hecklers behind me and a hilljack that was narrating for his boy. the plot was standard and the imagery was decent. oh yeah, this was the mothman prophecies. i liked the whole phone connection with indrid cold. did you hear that miss cleo has pulled out of indiana after complaints? i had an unusual dream this morning about trying to oust a credit/collector's office from the local mall. i got sent to the wrong place 4 times. this is unusual because 4 is not a common number for me. i watched the stendahl syndrome when i got home last night. super trippy. the lead character/heroine kept walking into and at times falling into paintings and scenes from the past. really superb effects, or i was just easy to impress after mothman. roomate is out of town, so up went the volume. can't help it. argento flicks have cool soundtracks, especially on dvd. i might try minor roadtripping today. no stops at the antique mall tho.

so nobody got the whole jigsaw thing. oh well. should i not discuss the 27th letter of the alphabet and how it unlocks the numeric and fractionalized code that lies within? patterns are everywhere, but today i smell a strange shadow. maybe it's the ouija thing that i have brought into our home - and subsequently posted on ebay along with the story about what it did to the car. the cat is crying for a warm lap and a piece of fake bacon. good morning! the guy who worked on my car swore that he fixed the service engine soon light, but like an old friend it showed up on the way home. i think it missed me. blotto husband, eh? you still never sent a picture of his highness. did he happen to have the children in tow? and if so, did he drive that way? you know how they say there's nothing more annoying than an ex-smoker....you could let loose with both barrels and a slingshot. take that goliath! (plug)y'all drop by the kastle later. i'll be changing up the twisted picks and hopefully adding a movies for sale page with some hard to finds. (/plug)

have you ever noticed just how sexual the average jigsaw puzzle is? it doesn't really matter what the image is, whether casper or monet. it's the actual form and dynamic of the pieces and of the whole. the very act of seperating the individual elements of the image is very erotic. cutting through the form and unravelling the big picture feels empowering. and the re-assembling.....matching the colors and pieces of the whole...and when the picture is restored, the sense of accomplishment is overwhelming. anyway... just a thought.

yes, the patient is worth saving. i did some math and the average cars have cost me in the past was appx $200/year i owned them. i've had this one for 3 yrs and nothing has gone wrong with it. so, i'm guessing it was just saving up. a tension arm? well, you know that thing the alternator attaches to, and it adjusts the tension in the belt? that's it. can't be welded or soldered or anything. has to be replaced. a majority of the repair cost is based on the position of the engine and what a bitch it is to get to anything on that side. towing, parts, labor, 560 or so. would have been at least $800 on this side of town. then i would have thought twice. but i love the blue bookmobile, so keeping it i is. magical platinum shall be it's salvation.

ok, the car is going to cost me appx $600. apparently the battery, alternator, AND the tension arm went. the arm thingy was broken for a while. no idea how the belt was staying on. guess i was just "lucky" mom's prayers must have trained God's pigeons, er angels on me. chokin on the feathers.

you look like tom's mother? with a halo of flies and junk? hmmm. well, i guess that's just at the end. this mourning's dreams were psychotic and about selfishness and lawn care. apparently i was obsessed with mowing the lawn and making sure that we weren't too close to the east coast or connected in some way. my brother was trying to live at home and be paid his allowance in hourly increments. this was his living. at some point we went to a late night combination flea market and liquor store. when we got home i was transported to a work environment that resembled a cross between shallo's and crapplebee's. i had to do most of the work in closing the kitchen because my co-workers were just too lazy to help. i was screaming and swearing at my mother about not having 5 minutes to myself, ever.... everyone wanted me to do something, some chore, some obligation. paging dr freud... today one of my trainers is like shelly from northern exposure, but not nearly as profound... and her dialogue is rather spooner-esque. yesterday she said we would be doing more roll call exercises. i'm pretty sure she meant role playing. the other person, guy, has sad subdued eyes and a national origin i can't place. no giveaway accent. the trendy beard thing might be throwing me. dropped the car off yesterday, hope it's something simple. the tow was expensive. i suspect the driver was saving up for a personality.

i'm back home again. this time my chariot is a saturn. this isn't permanent, just a loaner from my parents. good thing. i hate the way it drives. and what's up with the nasa harness seatbelt? oh well, it's a way to work. ishtar dinner went ok. even told my parents about the origins of the eggs, bunnies, and why ham is the traditional meat on this particular holiday. we ate, we talked, we laughed at arafat. then we watched a sword and sandal flick. something remotely biblical with a lot of painted backdrops. the emperor of rome was completely insane. seems like that was a pre-req for the position. lunch is made, time to throw in some laundry, then ZZZZZZZ.
